Hummus and Crudité

Nothing is better than making a delicious, crowd pleasing appetizer to serve to your friends and family.  A bonus is when this app is ALSO good for you!

½ cup of homemade Tahini (see recipe)

Olive Oil( drizzled as needed)

2 tablespoons of Paprika

1 tablespoon of minced garlic

1 can of great northern beans( drained but not rinsed)




2 carrots- chopped into sticks

3 peppers of different colors- deseeded and then cut into strips

1 cucumber with the skin on- cut into ¼ inch thick slices

1 bag of snap peas- washed with the ends snapped off



  1. For the hummus, place the beans and tahini with a drizzle of olive oil into our blender or food processor.  Turn on high for 20 seconds.  Drizzling more olive oil into the mixture until it gives a thick creamy texture.

  2. Add the garlic and paprika- if you are making a bigger serving and using 2 cans of beans make sure to double everything else as well. (this will serve 8 people) Blend on high for another 20 seconds, drizzling more olive oil if needed.

  3. If this is being served day of, put into a beautiful bowl and arrange your crudité around the bowl.  Top the hummus with a drizzle of olive oil and a dash of paprika for color.

  4. This is a make ahead appetizers so please feel free to put this hummus into Tupperware and the vegetables into a big Ziploc baggie.  This will last in the fridge for up to 3 days before serving!
